Munising, Michigan is located in the north central Upper Peninsula of Michigan, on the shores of Lake Superior. Munising is an Ojibwe word, meaning island in a lake.

While wilderness abounds, Munising is just one of many charming towns in Alger County. With a population of 2,539 people, Munising rests on the south bay of Grand Island Harbor. Filled with wonderful restaurants, a quaint downtown shopping district, it is a popular destination for snowmobilers in the winter and boaters in the summer. Munising Memorial Hospital offers state of the art facilities, and is only 1 mile from the Condominium site. Only 45 minutes from Marquette, the largest city in the U.P., you’re surrounded by nature, but with instant access to entertainment, healthcare, shopping, dining and a variety of business services. 


3. Who will my neighbors be at Gull Haven?

Gull Haven Condominiums will be home to many types of people. Inquires have been made from people with ties to the community who have been away, and would like to retire in the Upper Peninsula, but have found lake property to be too expensive. They have been delighted to see how affordable Gull Haven will be. Several other inquiries have come from residents of Chicago, Milwaukee and other large cities, from investors who would like to own lake front condo for their personal use half of the year, and rent the condos to vacationers the remaining part of the year. Residents of the Munising, Marquette and the surrounding areas have also found Gull Haven to be attractive and affordable. We envision a wonderful mix of business professionals, retirees and seasonal visitors as our final mix for the 12 units.


4. What types of choices can I make in regards to the layout and décor of my condo?

The sooner you make your deposit, the more influence you’ll have on the layout of your condo. Of course it will be yours to decorate as you wish, but the earlier you invest in the project, the more affordable the choices will be to make your personal selections for fixtures and other details. For instance, bathroom, kitchen and lighting fixtures have a current value, but can be upgraded to your desires prior to installation.


5. What are the resale and rental restrictions for my condo?

The condo will be your property to rent or sell, as you desire. The condo association, to which you will belong, will accept input on any guidelines that the group would like to see followed, ensuring all condo owners have the opportunity to live in a peaceful and elegant environment.
